Esnna

The ESNNA Program and Our Commitment

The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Tourism (MINCETUR) has created the policy against the commercial sexual exploitation of children and adolescents (ESNNA). The ESNNA Code and JP INVERSIONES TURISTICAS S.A.C, hereinafter Boutique Matará, have a joint action agreement to prevent and eradicate this issue.

Sexual exploitation is a violation of human rights and undermines the physical, social, and emotional development of the children and adolescents affected by this situation. Furthermore, ESNNA can manifest in various ways and contexts, such as:

ESNNA within the travel and tourism sector.

Online ESNNA (on the Internet and through the use of ICTs).

Concrete Actions – ESNNA Code

Adhering to the ESNNA Program's Code of Conduct commits us to constantly putting into practice a series of actions that are carried out and reinforced as part of our activities. Our office personnel, as well as our logistics staff (guides, cooks, drivers, porters, and all support personnel), are already duly trained to contribute to the Code of Conduct.

Due to both ethical and legal reasons, domestic or foreign tourists are in no way offered, nor do we comply with, any request regarding sexual tourism involving children or adolescents. In the same line, we act jointly with our associates (hotels, restaurants, etc., and their entire staff) to ensure that the objectives and commitments of the ESNNA program are met across all sectors and stages of the tourism services we provide.

All of us at Boutique Matará, as well as the partners in our operations, are committed to enforcing the ESNNA Code of Conduct and reporting to the authorities whenever necessary. The actions under the ESNNA Code and Boutique Matará stand out and hold priority within our social responsibility policies. We aim for tourism to be an activity that brings only benefits to the region and the country, in accordance with what is stipulated in our corporate mission, vision, and values.

What Can We Do to Prevent This Problem From Growing?

Maintain an attitude of absolute rejection toward ESNNA and warn about the corresponding prison sentences.

Immediately report any case of ESNNA to the Public Prosecutor's Office (Ministerio Público) or the National Police.

Keep the following helpline phone numbers at hand:

Ministry of the Interior: Line 0800-2-3232

Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (Women's Emergency Center): Line 100

National Police: (Nearest Police Station) / Prosecutor's Office.

Child and Adolescent Defense Offices (DEMUNA).

In This Establishment:

We do not promote or permit the sexual exploitation of children and adolescents, nor any other criminal offense of which we become aware during the performance of our activities, as provided by Law No. 29408.

If you are aware of any case of sexual exploitation involving minors under 18 years of age, do not hesitate to report it.

Sincerely,

Boutique Matará
